I began singing in community and church musical theatre as a small child. In 1995 I began playing in the percussion section of my school orchestra and began classical piano lessons. Continuing lessons for vocal music, piano, drums, and musical theory, I began competing. In junior high school I became an award winning vocalist, pianist, and drummer/percussionist. I auditioned for and was selected f

or the honor band and the show choir. I also began performing in public at recitals, talent shows, competitions, etc. Once I reached high school, my musical interest was instrumental, to be sure but, my main focus became geared towards musical theatre. I began competing in theatre competitions and continued playing and singing. I auditioned for and was selected for the high school show choir. After graduating high school, I attended Rose State College where I began taking courses on piano and piano instruction. My career took me in a different direction as I entered sixteen years as a Deputy Sheriff. I retired after only sixteen years to care for an aging parent. Now I perform live but mostly focus on sharing all I have learned throughout the years with others as a private music teacher.

"Ugh" by The Warning
"Ugh" by the Mexican rock band The Warning is a concept song from their 2018 album Queen of the Murder Scene. The song captures a pivotal moment where the album's protagonist feels completely consumed and overwhelmed by her growing obsession.
The title itself reflects real-life frustration. The band spent a grueling amount of time finalizing the track, going through roughly 20 different versions before they settled on the final structure. They ultimately titled it "Ugh" out of sheer exasperation from the difficult writing process.
