"The City of Piedmont is aware of ongoing discussions among property owners regarding potential interest from data center developers seeking to build within or near our municipal boundaries. City representatives have met with these developers in accordance with standard procedures and fielded questions related to project size and scope, zoning requirements, permitting processes, and utility capacities.

The City has not entered into a nondisclosure agreements and no commitments or promises were made by any City official to any developer. At this time, no applications for a data center have been submitted to the City of Piedmont. If an application is submitted, public notice will be provided and the City will ensure all the legal requirements for public hearings are met.
