Don’t sacrifice your skin for a slogan.

Some look at “vegan” as a positive in their skincare. Plants=nature, so sure. But vegan only means it contains no animal products, not that it is natural. Natural is always better and safer than a science project.

Then there’s cruelty free. This does not mean it is animal-free. It means the product is not currently tested on animals. There are loopholes, though. The final product is the only thing that can’t be tested on animals. The ingredients that go into that product may have been.

Idk about you, but I don’t like my family to use ingredients that require testing. That’s science, not nature.

Tallow is as natural as it gets. It’s the original skincare, with documented use by ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, and Mesopotamians. Only because fat became feared in the 80’s did synthetic skincare become popular and tallow usage temporarily drop.

Tell me what’s more cruelty free than using the whole animal? This has long been known as a sign of respect, honoring the animal’s sacrifice. The cows are not taken for tallow. They feed our families. Nose to tail utilization is respect.

Synthetic is 🤢 and to be honest, it’s cruel to YOU!
Be kind to your skin! Go natural. Go tallow.

Cheap, non-toxic hack. Cute mug, an apple, an orange, and a cinnamon stick topped off with filtered water. Cranberries if you have them. Candle warmer. Done! I pop the mug in the microwave overnight to prevent fruit flies and just warm it again the next day. It’s been going all week.

Some of these families lost their child this year. This will be their first Christmas without them. One Mom told me how her and her daughter used to listen to cooking shows, her daughter would braille the recipes, and then they would go cook. She’s unsure if her daughter can still read braille due to Batten regression, but she’s hopeful she’ll enjoy the ornament. One Momma is getting a special, custom ornament for her daughter who passed.
This matters. Your $12 sponsorship may not feel like much, but to these families, it’s a smile on their kid’s face when they read their custom ornament or it’s a keepsake of their baby who passed far too soon from this f-ing disease. It feels like someone notices and cares about your kid and their disease not talked about, noticed, or cared about enough.
