✨ One-of-a-kind, handmade, and filled with meaning! ✨

Ben made me the most beautiful sterling silver ring today! 😍💍 And when I say made, I mean from scratch—he crafted the band, the base, the bezel, and even the silver beads! 💪🔥 He did it all in just three hours with the guidance of his incredible instructor and friend, Jorge.

But here’s what makes it even more special: The stone isn’t just any stone—it’s Blue Forest petrified wood from Wyoming, and we dug it up together a few summers ago! 💙🌲 If you look closely, you can even see the tree rings—it’s an actual cross-section of a branch! 🌿

I’m beyond in love with this ring and so proud of Ben’s craftsmanship! ❤️

We took a little break from posting, but have some new things in the works. Ben is learning how to silversmith and we’re finally getting to set some of our beautiful fire agates into jewelry. ❤️

A few weeks ago, my students embarked on an incredible virtual adventure with Ranger John from Fossil Butte National Monument! Despite being miles away, they were stunned by the vast snow-covered landscapes of Kemmerer!⛄️

But the real magic happened when they delved into the world of fossils and ancient history. From the mesmerizing stories of Fossil Lake to uncovering the secrets of prehistoric life, their curiosity knew no bounds! 🌎💡

This place has a way of making it difficult to leave. 🙁 Much like the fossil quarry, we had to tear ourselves away... 💚

Just uncovered a fascinating find while digging in the 18-inch layer! 🪰✨ We stumbled upon a fly mortality layer! This fossilized fly is estimated to be around 50 million years old! 🌿🦟

This ancient layer hails from the renowned Fossil Lake, which existed during a time when the Earth looked strikingly different. 🌎💦

The fly layer itself is truly amazing! It's a testament to the incredible preservation that occurred in this unique geological setting. Needless to say, we were REALLY excited by this find! 😍
