Karen Watts for Yuma City Council Karen Watts was a Yuma City Council Member, serving from 1/2018 to 12/2022. I have been a dedicated member of the Yuma community for my entire adult life.

Councilmember-elect Watts is set to start her second, 4 year term on January 1, 2025. As a Family Nurse Practitioner and the owner of my small business since 2007, I have deep roots in this area. I was born and raised here and made the deliberate choice to raise my family in Yuma because I truly believe it's a fantastic place to live. My commitment is evident in my membership in the Amberly's Plac

e Hall of Fame and my ongoing role as the medical coordinator. With over 30 years of experience as a health professional, I am confident that I can effectively utilize this wealth of knowledge to serve on the city council.

Excited and proud to announce that my candidacy for Yuma City Council has been formally endorsed by the United Yuma Firefighters Association. Public safety is a top priority for me and if elected I plan to use my experience as a healthcare professional to enhance resources, secure funding and retain/recruit first responders.
