Yuma County Supervisor Jonathan Lines, who also serves as Chairman of the Arizona Water Infrastructure Finance Authority, joined leaders from across the Southwest for the signing of the Interstate Water Transfer Memorandum of Understanding at the Claude “Bud” Lewis Carlsbad Desalination Plant.

The agreement reflects a shared commitment to strengthening sustainable water reliability through innovation, partnership, and regional collaboration.

El supervisor del Condado de Yuma, Jonathan Lines, quien también se desempeña como presidente de la Autoridad de Financiamiento de Infraestructura Hídrica de Arizona, se unió con los líderes de todo el suroeste de Estados Unidos para la firma del Memorando de Entendimiento sobre Transferencia Interestatal de Agua en la Planta Desalinizadora Claude “Bud” Lewis de Carlsbad.

At Monday’s meeting of the Yuma County Board of Supervisors, the Chairman proclaimed June 2026 as Safety Month, encouraging residents to make safety a priority at home, at work, and in our community.

🇺🇸In observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, 2026, the North Gila and Wellton Transfer Stations will be closed.

♻️ Both transfer stations will reopen and resume normal operations on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

We appreciate your understanding as we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
