Yuma County has a seat at the table on an important statewide issue. The Arizona Legislature created a new Biosolids Study Committee to review biosolids use, including on State Trust Land and the acceptance of biosolids from other states. With various biosolids sites throughout Arizona, this statewide review is especially important.

Yuma County was specifically given a seat on the six-member committee, ensuring our community and agricultural interests have a direct voice in the discussion. This is an important opportunity to make sure Yuma County’s experience and perspective are part of the statewide conversation.

🚧 Avenue A Road Closure Extension

Please be advised that the road closure on Avenue A at Westridge Dr has been extended due to unforeseen conditions and extreme heat.

•Through Sunday, August 30: Avenue A remains closed to all traffic at Westridge Dr.
•Monday, August 31: The road will reopen to two-way traffic, utilizing one 12-foot-wide travel lane in each direction.
•Friday, September 4, at 5 p.m.: Avenue A is scheduled to be completely open to all traffic.

Drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly and proceed with caution through the work zone.

🚧 Ampliación del cierre de la vía en Avenue A

Le informamos que el cierre de la vía en Avenue A, a la altura de Westridge Dr, se ha prolongado debido a condiciones imprevistas y al calor extremo.

•Hasta el domingo 30 de agosto: Avenue A permanecerá cerrada a todo tipo de tráfico en Westridge Dr.
•Lunes 31 de agosto: La vía se reabrirá al tráfico en ambos sentidos, habilitando un carril de circulación de 12 pies de ancho en cada dirección.
•Viernes 4 de septiembre, a las 5 p.m.: Está previsto que Avenue A quede totalmente abierta al tráfico.

Se recomienda a los conductores planificar sus desplazamientos y transitar con precaución por la zona de obras.
