Sprawling, cinematic progressive death metal built into an atmospheric, world encompassing opus. Formed with influence from black metal, progressive rock, a whisper of jazz, and a tasteful touch of ambient / electronica, this album is presented as seven tracks that come together as a cohesive storyline. Even the death metal varies in scope, sliding between melodeath, prog-death, and atmo-death to suit the mood.

There are moments of anger, beauty, and most importantly, woe that carry grand intricacies as songs develop and evolve. Clean vocals and more melodious movements defer into maelstroms of crushing sound will deft skill that merges them perfectly. It is hard to explain, but nonetheless impressive.

Touchstones could be artists like (early) Opeth, Ne Obliviscaris, or Dessiderium.
