📮 POST No. 500 📮 (Español abajo)
And for such a special post, I couldn’t think of anything more fitting than going back to where it all began.
This postcard was sent to me by Swantje, , and it is PT-1, a reproduction of the very first postcard that traveled through Postcrossing, sent from Portugal 21 years ago.
I had wanted this postcard for such a long time. I wasn’t able to get one when it was available for sale, so finally receiving it — written, traveled, and covered in stickers — makes it even more special.
After 500 posts, thousands of kilometers traveled on little pieces of paper, people met, stories discovered, and a collection that keeps growing, I love that post number 500 takes us right back to the beginning.
Thank you, Swantje, for sending me a postcard I’d wanted for so long. 💌
And thank you, Postcrossing, for everything you’ve given us, everything you continue to give us, and especially for all the stories, friendships, and postcards still waiting to be discovered.

📮 PUBLICACIÓN Nº 500 📮
Y para una publicación tan especial, no se me ocurrió nada más adecuado que volver a donde todo comenzó.
Esta postal me la envió Swantje, , y es la PT-1, una reproducción de la primera postal que viajó a través de Postcrossing, enviada desde Portugal hace ya 21 años.
Hacía muchísimo tiempo que quería tenerla. Cuando estuvo a la venta no pude conseguirla, así que recibirla finalmente —y además de esta manera, escrita, viajada y llena de stickers— la hace todavía más especial.
Después de 500 publicaciones, miles de kilómetros recorridos en pequeños pedazos de papel, personas conocidas, historias descubiertas y una colección que no para de crecer, me encanta que la número 500 nos lleve exactamente al principio.
Gracias, Swantje, por enviarme una postal que quería desde hacía tanto tiempo. 💌
Y gracias, Postcrossing, por todo lo que nos dio, por todo lo que nos da y, sobre todo, por todas las historias, amistades y postales que todavía nos quedan por descubrir.
