El Teatro Teresa Carreño es un complejo cultural, uno de los más importantes de América, el segundo más grande de América del Sur, el mayor de Venezuela. Inaugurado el que 19 de abril de19083. En él se representan conciertos sinfónicos y populares, espectáculos diversos, óperas, ballet clásico, danza y teatro. Está ubicado en el corazón cultural de Caracas en Los Caobos, cerca de las torres de Parque Central, y en sus alrededores más inmediatos se ubican la Plaza de los Museos, el Parque Los Caobos, el Hotel Alba Caracas, la Universidad de las Artes. El teatro lleva su nombre en honor a la insigne pianista venezolana Teresa Carreño, niña prodigio, quien a los 8 años fue invitada a tocar en la casa blanca para deleitar 1863 al Presidente Abrahan Lincold. Años despues 1916 tambien lo haria para el mandatario Woodrow Wilson.

It is located in the cultural heart of Caracas in Los Caobos, near the Central Park towers, and in its immediate surroundings are the Museum Square, Los Caobos Park, the Hotel Alba Caracas, the University of the Arts.
