We spent the last few days of our off-season soaking up the quiet anchorages on St John in the USVI. We made a big dent in our never ending to-do list and made sure we remembered how to sail. ⛵️🙂 Now we are back on the dock in the BVI prepping for our first charter of the season! Let’s go!

We have been back in the water for a few days but… I couldn’t let this off-season go without a shout-out to Joe’s son Thomas who took time off his job as an Aerospace Engineer to help us put the boat back together. We literally could not have done it without him.

Tom has been sailing with Joe since he was a little kid (swipe for a cute throwback picture) but working in a hot, dusty yard in Puerto Rico was a new experience! 😂

If you would us told us this would be our full-time job someday we never would have believed you! ⛵️ It was been a wild ride and a big transition, but so fun! Thankful we took the leap, took a big risk and are experiencing this adventure together! 🥰

Family! ❤️ The highlight of our off season every year is the time we get to spend with family and this year is no exception. So thankful for this time, it’s the reason we end our season a little early every year and get back to Colorado as soon as possible.

We head back to the boat exactly one month! 😳⛵️

Hey it’s me! We have been really quiet on the socials while Joe heals from surgery and we are soaking up our time in Colorado. BUT….

This is my annual PSA that our calendar is starting to fill up. Do you want to charter with us?

NYE in the islands? This time of year has the *best weather. 🎇🥂

April 30 - May 14
It’s slower during these months but the temps are still amazing (the best time of year IMO) ⛵️🏝️

May 26 - June 15
Come on down with the kids when they get out of school! 👙🕶️

Well this was not how we were planning on spending our off season! 😭 An unplanned but not entirely unexpected rotator cuff, torn bicep tendon and bone spur repair surgery. Captain Joe is pretty hard on his body on and off season. 🚴🏍️⛵️ But good news; surgery went great, he is already home cracking jokes and should be good to go in time for our upcoming charter season! Thanks for the prayers and well wishes - it’s rest and recovery time.

Who wants to spend New Years Eve onboard Knot 5280? 🥂 We *just decided to open NYE and Christmas week up this year (we don’t always take charters over the holidays) and Christmas is already booked! 😬 We know NYE will go just as fast so contact your favorite charter broker if you want to party in the BVI during the busiest week of the year. 🍾👯

A slower paced 6 minute video 😂 with just a taste of what we tackled this past week. It’s always a little sad putting our boat/home away for hurricane season, but also so much work… I think I filmed 25% of the to-do list we plowed through. 🫠 Anyway, if you make it to the end kick your feet up and enjoy a cold beverage - that’s what we’re doing! 🍻 Enjoy your break Knot 5280 ⛵️you worked hard this season and deserve a break!
