Sargassum has been hitting coastlines in the Virgin Islands and wider region in what experts expect to be a year of record levels of the seaweed. The influx has already caused a fish die-off in Anegada and overwhelmed shorelines, with some VI residents growing frustrated with the lack of mitigation efforts.
