*South South Zone of NISAYA Participates in the annual international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking hosted by Edo State Government*

The South South Zone of the Nigerian Students and Youths Association (NISAYA) was invited to a significant event hosted by the Edo State Government's Office of the Special Assistant on Drugs and Illicit Control, in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Edo State Command. The event focused on addressing drug abuse, control, and eradication, featuring insightful discussions from various speakers.

Notable attendees included the Edo State Governor's representative, the SSG, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, the Special Adviser on Student Affairs, the Commissioner of Police, and other dignitaries.

Representing NISAYA were Amb. Terry P. Osemwengie, Deputy South South Coordinator, Hon. Barr. Irene Stephen, Director of Legal Matters for the South South Zone and Comr. Osagie Godsent Obasuyi, director of student affairs, south south zone..

The event provided a platform for stakeholders to share ideas on preventing drug use and tackling its menace.

In an effort to continously protect and defend the interest of youths and students of Nigeria The Nigerian students and youths association, (NISAYA) held a world press conference in Abuja on the 13th of June, to address the issue of a Nigerian youth murdered in Switzerland by the swiss police, addressing also, the insecurity, kiddnapping, Fulani herdsmen menace and other lingering issues affecting Nigerians. Present at the briefing are, The National Secretary Gen. NISAYA, Comrade Francis Chinecherem Joseph, Asst. Sec. Gen. Comr. Ali Jibril Gambo, Director, students and youths project, national, NISAYA, Amb. Terry Prince Osemwengie, special asst to the president on finance. Comrade Nwafor E. Peter, NISAYA FCT president, Comr. Victor E. Omozuapo and National Director of external affairs, Comrade Esther Iluhorlor,The youth and student organisation urge all Nigerians to support the vision and mission of NISAYA for more result oriented and progressive Nigeria.
