💜Celebrating Ray’Mai & Ni’Jai for Month of the Military Child!💜
April is Month of the Military Child a time to honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of the youngest members of our military families. Today, the 285th Air National Guard proudly recognizes Ray’Mai and Ni’Jai, sons of Senior Airman Dowdy, as part of this special tribute.
Military children like Ray’Mai and Ni’Jai grow up with a unique perspective on life — learning early about service, sacrifice, and adaptability. They are the quiet heroes who show courage when their parent is away on duty, and they thrive through every change, move, and challenge with remarkable strength.
Ray’Mai, who has a deep love for music and baseball, brings rhythm and energy into every room he walks into. His creativity and passion are bright reminders of the joy and light that military children bring to their families and communities. Ni’Jai, full of curiosity and charm, embodies the heart of a child raised in love, strength, and purpose.
For Senior Airman Dowdy, her sons are her foundation — the reason she puts on the uniform and serves with pride. They keep her grounded and motivated, reminding her every day of what she’s fighting for: their future. Their smiles, laughter, and growth are her greatest accomplishments and a core part of her why.
The Month of the Military Child is a powerful reminder that behind every service member is a family — and behind many of those families are resilient children who stand strong through the demands of military life. The 285th Air National Guard celebrates Ray’Mai and Ni’Jai for their bravery, their spirit, and their role in supporting their mom’s mission.
To Ray’Mai, Ni’Jai, and all military children — thank you. We see you. We appreciate you. And we celebrate you this month and always.
