Did you know the Air Force offers two separate programs for active duty Airmen transitioning to the Air National Guard? Palace Chase and Palace Front.

Palace Chase is for active duty Airmen who are currently serving in their enlistment and are interested in leaving, but don’t have a separation date. When you transfer into the Air National Guard through this program, you’ll continue to grow valuable career skills and benefits.

Palace Front is for active duty Airmen who choose to leave the Air Force and are within six months of completing their enlistment contract. Through this program, you can serve in the state of your choice either full-time or part-time, one weekend per month and two weeks per year.

The Air Force has announced its new fitness assessment.

Key changes:

Fitness Assessment every six months.

Required to complete a 2 mile run on at least one of the two assessments per year.

Scored body composition component implemented (waist-to-height ratio).

A diagnostic period will be available from March 1, 2026 - Aug 31 2026.

Official test will be implemented starting Sept 1 2026.
