The Evolution
I have had the distinct honor of working alongside and venturing into business with some of the US capital markets trailblazers and pioneers in transforming the US financial markets using automated innovative technology between 2003-2008 proposing to create and establish the Virgin Islands Stock Exchange/Global STX, using Electronic Communication Networks (ECN), and Alternative Trading System (ATS). I have had some of the biggest names (John C. Bogle, Founder/Chairman/CEO of Vanguard, Steve Forbes, Forbes Enterprise and John Mackey, Founder of Whole Foods) in American business grace my then popular radio shows MoneyTalk & More, The Economic Roundtable and The Marketplace in the pinnacle of my broadcasting tenure back in 2010.
A milestone was in 2023 when the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) hosted my SEDI-CASE: USVI-NY Summit at the NYSE, with NYC Mayor Eric Adams Office. I led a combined USVI/New York of private sector businesses, chamber of commerce (Brooklyn & Greater New York), government officials to include Governor Albert Bryan Jr. Today I pay special tribute to one of my then business colleagues and partners of Global STX, Mr. Donald Weeden, former Chairman & CEO of Weeden & Co. Did the visionary Donald Weeden see the future back in 1975!
My vision to create and establish the very first US Capital Market system outside of the US Mainland at the US 3rd Border in the Caribbean and Latin America, is being realized by the formation and launching of the Caribbean Americas Single Economic (CASE) Zone, and the CASE Capital Markets-3rd Wall Street. The name 3rd Wall Street is symbolic of a geopolitical, national security and socio economic region called the 3rd Border (Caribbean and Latin America shared with the US), the three capital markets, 1st) Initial Public Offering (IPO), 2nd) Secondary Markets and the 3rd) Third Markets. And now in the advent and the rise of cryptocurrency (stablecoins and exchanges), and the US Congress by passing the Genius Act, and to President Trump for his signature. 3rd Wall Street will enhance access to capital connecting New York Wall Street, Wall Street South (South Florida), and US Territories (US Virgin Islands & Puerto Rico) and the rest of the Americas globally.
