The UK Government has today confirmed that, effective immediately, all nationals of Trinidad and Tobago will require a visa for travel to the UK, including for short visits. This decision follows a sharp rise in the number of Trinidad and Tobago nationals arriving in the UK as visitors, only to seek asylum upon arrival, which has been deemed a misuse of the immigration system.
