Planning your Taiwan trip? Save this first.

Last year, ito yung 12-day itinerary na ginawa ko bago kami pumunta ng Taiwan.

Hindi namin nasunod lahat. 😂 Napagod din kami, may mga spontaneous food stops, at may mga places na gusto lang naming sulitin.

Pero if you're wondering kung paano magsimula gumawa ng itinerary, this can be a good guide. Naka-group na yung mga destinations para less backtracking at mas realistic yung schedule.

Of course, feel free to adjust it based sa travel style mo. Hindi naman kailangan ma-check lahat para masabing sulit ang trip.

Why solo traveler is not a red flag 🇵🇭✈️

Madalas may nagtatanong: “Solo ka lang, hindi ka ba kinakabahan sa PH IO?”
Honestly? Hindi—kasi handang-handa ako bago pa bumiyahe.

Bago ang flight, nirereview ko na lahat:
📄 kumpletong itinerary (day by day)
🖨️ naka-print at may screenshots sa phone
🏨 hotel bookings, return ticket, travel tax, e-travel
📱 kahit anong posibleng itanong ng IO—ready ipakita

Pagdating sa immigration, kalma lang.
Isa-isang tanong, isa-isang sagot—ganun din ako sa real life.
Diretso, malinaw, at confident.

Sample lang ng usual tanungan:

IO:Sino kasama mo?
Me: Ako lang po. (no explanation needed)

IO:Kailan balik mo?
Me:(Sasabihin ang exact date ng return flight.)

Hindi na dinadagdagan ng kwento kung hindi naman tinatanong.
Hindi defensive, hindi nag-oovershare—sumasagot lang ng tama.

For context, 3 beses na akong nag-travel as solo traveler
from PH papunta sa ibang bansa.
Lagi akong nagpe-present bilang solo traveler lang hindi sponsored, walang affidavit of support,
at hindi rin kailangan kung kumpleto at malinaw ang documents mo.

Solo traveling isn’t a red flag.
Unprepared traveling is.

Kung solo ka rin at kinakabahan sa IO:
✨ mag-prepare
✨ ayusin ang papeles
✨ be calm, be confident

Travel smart, not scared. 🌏✈️

NO MORE FACE-TO-FACE IO INTERVIEW? 🤔✈️

Good news for frequent travelers! NAIA has started rolling out Biometric e-Gates that can help eligible passengers clear Immigration faster—without the usual face-to-face interview.

Who can use the e-Gates?
✅ Adult frequent international travelers with updated biometrics in the system.
✅ OFWs with a verified digital OEC.

Who still needs to use the Manual Immigration Counter?
❌ First-time international travelers.
❌ Minors (below 18 years old).
❌ Families traveling together.

⚠️ Important Reminder

If your eTravel shows "Proceed to Manual Lane," make sure to follow it. This may happen if:
• You're traveling to a visa-required country.
• Your airline information hasn't synced yet.
• Immigration needs additional verification.

💡 Traveler Tip (based on shared experiences)

Some travelers have shared that even though their eTravel showed "Proceed to Manual Lane," an Immigration officer still redirected them to the e-Gates.

📌 As of now, the Bureau of Immigration has not officially announced that all frequent travelers can use the e-Gates even if their eTravel says Manual Lane. So it's still best to follow the instruction on your eTravel and the guidance of the Immigration officer.

As someone who travels often, anything that makes the airport process faster is definitely a welcome upgrade. But remember, the system is still being rolled out, so not everyone will be eligible just yet.

I haven't personally tried the departure e-Gates yet, so I'm curious...
