Red-shanked Douc Langur 🐒

Known as the “Queen of Primates”, this rare and colorful monkey is found in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. With red legs, white arms, a golden face, and a long tail, it’s one of the most striking primates in the world.

This unique species is a true treasure of the wild. That’s why protecting the red-shanked douc langur is so important, as it means preserving the wild wonders that make our world extraordinary. 💚

💕 Light of the Forest, Light of Compassion – a story of conservation and hope

This September, VEN collaborate with SCO for “Thước phim hi vọng Tập 5 – Ánh Rừng, Ánh Người The Hope” (The Hope Film #5 – Light of the Forest, Light of Compassion). Our journey took us deep into the Truong Son mountains, to Aur village in Tay Giang, Quang Nam, where 23 Cơ Tu households live with resilience amidst many hardships.

On this journey, we not only recorded the conservation story of the “Sao La”, the legendary “Asian Unicorn,” through the memories of the villagers, but also carried out a meaningful program: bringing health check-ups for the elderly and children, offering essentials, raincoats, and blankets to ease daily hardships, sharing a warm communal meal, and lighting up the Mid-Autumn night with lanterns, laughter, and the pure joy of children.

More than a journey, VEN hopes this program will spark awareness of nature conservation and spread compassion to the communities there, so that this light may grow into hope for a more fulfilling tomorrow ✨

Together for Son Tra: A Shared Tribute in “Báu Vật – Treasure” Book 📗
VEN is honored to be part of the journey in contributing to the photo book “Báu Vật – Treasure” with our images of Son Tra’s nature ✨

On September 6, 2025, the People’s Committee of Son Tra Ward, in collaboration with the National Political Publishing House, officially launched "Báu Vật – Treasure" - a bilingual (Vietnamese – English) photo book. Featuring 125 curated photos and stories, the book showcases the harmony of mountains, forest, and sea, and highlights the rare red-shanked douc langur, all together the true “treasure” of Da Nang.

We are delighted to collaborate with partners and artists to preserve and share the beauty and biodiversity of Son Tra with the world — a timeless source of pride for Da Nang and beyond. Together, we hope this book will spark greater love and care for the true treasure of the city 💖
