📌Continuing social distancing measures in Danang from 12th August, 2020. 📌

Under a document issued by the Da Nang City People’s Committee on 11th August, 2020: All agencies, organisations, and residents will have to observe COVID-19 prevention and control measures from 0:00 am 12th, August 2020 until further notice. Such measures were imposed upon Hoa Vang district at 1:00 pm on 12th August 2020.

People are advised to stay at home except for buying necessities (food and medicine), taking care of emergencies, or working at factories and production facilities deemed to provide essential goods and services.

The Danang Health Department will continue to instruct the city’s Centre for Disease Control to coordinate with relevant agencies and localities in tracing COVID-19 cases.

VIET NAM RECORDED THE FIRST DEATH TO RELATE TO COVID-19

Ministry of Health confirmed: The 70-year-old man Covid-19 patient with multiple comorbidities died on Thursday, July 31. This is the first death of anyone who contracted the disease in Vietnam.

"Patient 428" is the resident of Hoi An Ancient Town, and had chronic renal failure, hypertension and heart failure. He died of myocardial infarction caused by chronic diseases of hypertension, heart failure, end-stage of chronic renal failure, complications of respiratory failure due to heart failure and Covid-19.

On July 9 he developed chest pain and fatigue, and was admitted to the department of internal medicine and urology at Da Nang Hospital, now a Covid-19 hotspot and under the lockdown.

On July 26 he was tested positive for Covid-19, and was isolated in the same ward for treatment.

Till 7:00 pm July 30, Vietnam has 546 cases positive for Covid-19

Da Nang is the first place to record the first case since July 26, called “Patient 416” – breaking the 99-day period of having no Covid-19 case in the community. He attended a wedding party at “For You Palace” restaurant on 2/9 Street, Hai Chau District, Danang city on July 18. Up to now, July 29, Da Nang has had 29 cases.

Till 6:00 am July 29, Vietnam has 446 positives for Covid-19, 276 of which were quarantined immediately.

After 28 days of quarantine, D**g Cuu village (Thuong Tin district, Hanoi) was reopened.

On 13/5, the People's Committee of Thuong Tin district issued a Decision on ending the period of quarantine for Tren hamlet (D**g Cuu village, Dung Tien commune, Thuong Tin district, Hanoi).

At 0h on 14/5, the authority officially removed the iron fence at the gate to D**g Cuu village. After finishing the quarantine, along with restoring and concentrating production, the village will continue to maintain the prevention and control of epidemics; regularly clean the environment, ensure the most effective prevention.

The People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi has just announced the reopening of Hoan Kiem Lake Walking Street.

Accordingly, the organization of walking space activities in Hoan Kiem district (including: walking space in Hoan Kiem lake area and surrounding areas; Hang Dao - Hang Giay street - D**g Xuan night market; 6 streets walk in the sanctuary of Hanoi Old Quarter) will reopen from May 15, 2020.

Previously, in order to limit the gathering of people to prevent and control the risk of Covid-19 infection, Hoan Kiem District People's Committee temporarily closed Hoan Kiem Lake walking street from February 7, 2020.
