In the three years since he joined the label, Because of Art has made a name for himself as a beloved and versatile producer with a series of standout EPs and unforgettable singles. Fresh from a summer spent touring and taking his upbeat energy to the world stage, Alex now announces his biggest body of work to date: his self-titled debut album. Out November 13 on Anjunadeep.

Alex’s debut album is the culmination of a life completely immersed in electronic music culture. Long before stepping behind the decks as a performer, Alex was a dedicated fan in the crowd, digging through crates at iconic London record shops, and immersing himself in the UK club scene.

The ‘Because of Art’ LP captures this personal journey, drawing on dancefloor memories and creative notes accumulated over the last 25 years. Across 14 tracks, Alex represents every chapter of his life in music, and moves with ease through house, garage, breakbeat, ambient and drum & bass.

Featuring recent favourites ‘Thinkin’ Bout You’, ‘Artificial Cloud’ and ‘Fired Up’, alongside today’s new single ‘Hold On’, ‘Because of Art’ is available to pre-save now.
You can also pre-order a copy on sea-green 2xLP vinyl, complete with a vinyl-exclusive track, and retro-inspired promo feedback sheet, ready for your notes on the album.
