The presentation covers Siemens Simcenter technologies for autonomous systems development, integrating simulation, testing and AI Agent. From sensor data, digital twin for sensors, vehicle dynamics and 3D world reconstruction are generated (Real2Sim). These models support scenario-based testing and algorithm development for perception, planning and control. We'll discuss transitioning from simulation to physical (Sim2Real) and auto-calibration of control and AI driver control. Finally, several physical applications such as autonomous vehicle driving, and humanoid robotics will be demonstrated.

Dr. Son Tong is ADAS R&D Manager at Siemens Digital Industries Software, leading a team of research engineers and industrial PhDs. Prior to that, he obtained PhD in control systems as a EU Marie Curie fellow. He has been facilitating technology developments for control, AI, Generative AI, safety, comfort, and testing processes. The solutions often involve state of art algorithms, simulation and physical testing. Son Tong is active in Siemens research programs as technical coordinator for multiple Horizon Europe projects. He has been serving as industrial (co-)supervisors for > 20 Postdocs/PhDs/Masters from academic (i.e. KU Leuven, Oxford, EPFL, TU Delft...), and conference editorial board of IEEE Control System (CDC, ACC).
Dr. Son Tong was awarded Siemens PL Invention of the Year Award, Employee Star Award, and selected in the AutoSens 2019 most influential research award finalist. He is also a Judge in Formula Student Germany (FSG) Driverless Cup with 100 university teams every year.
