Just this morning, we were talking about the hat, and I discovered an AI-generated image where my head is attached to my friend’s body and face, wearing a AI-Bac Ha Hmong outfit.
Honestly, it makes me wonder: do people really buy AI created products like this?
To be clear, this violates my and my friend personal image rights (first) and intellectual property rights (second), so I have to speak up.
I am still addressing this calmly and without naming anyone. However, if this happens one more time, I will publicly tag names instead of keeping this as a casual conversation.
It’s peak season and I’m very busy, so I don’t want unnecessary drama, but you have crossed my boundary.

Is this hat really so “hot” that you need to import hundreds of pieces to sell in the U.S.?

Recently, several of my friends in the U.S. sent me photos from different shops where the hat I designed appears repeatedly. What’s ironic is that those hats were not made by me, but by two people who follow my work. And I also know that the importer, it’s you-are following me as well.

That is exactly what I said yesterday: sometimes people step on each other just to survive.

I could name names. I truly could. But unfortunately, I choose not to. The people who care about me advised me to remain humble and forgiving, like God. Even though I am not religious, I respect Him, and for that reason, I choose to live like a flower.

You know what?
Traditional attire in Bắc Hà has already evolved into a new version and what’s fascinating is that everything is still handmade. That craftsmanship is exactly what makes the different Hmong branches so unique. Isn’t that interesting?

Sometimes, because I’m too easygoing, people see me as just a supplier or someone who runs errands, not as a stylist or a designer. For some artists, borrowing my performance outfits feels like an obvious entitlement, no payment needed, no acknowledgment required. When they eventually release their work, there’s no credit, no mention of me. I’ve grown used to this, especially within the Hmong community.

Four years ago, I truly loved and believed in the phrase “Hmoob Hlub Hmoob.” But now, I no longer feel the same way about it. People step on each other just to survive, while I once naïvely believed that if I was kind, others would be kind in return. Reality proved otherwise. Life isn’t a dream, and it hits hard when you’re struggling to pay rent, while those who preach “Hmoob hlub Hmoob” are busy exploiting whatever you have for their own benefit.

Funny, isn’t it?

That’s when I realized the people who genuinely support me are my clients. I may not always make them completely happy, but they stay. And because of them, I’m still here, continuing to do the crazy things I believe are worth doing.

It’s 5 in the fu**in morning. I’m not up early, I just never went to sleep.
If you’re reading this, yeah… don’t end up like me.

A lovely little accent to welcome the new spring 🌸
Is it still cold where you are? Here in Vietnam, it’s been very cold, and it’s been a long time since I last saw flowers growing naturally. I miss that childhood feeling of picking wildflowers and tucking them into my hair, so free and simple. Now, I try to recreate that feeling through these designs.

If you love this piece, feel free to message me to place an order 🤍 Each item is made to order with care, so please allow a little time for production.

Thank you so much for supporting handmade work.

There are some things in life that exist only once.
Even if a similar version appears later, it will never hold the same meaning or receive the same affection as the first.

There are things that, once lost, can never be recovered.
And there are things that, in time, will exist only in museums.

This is your moment to own and collect, before it quietly fades into memory.

During this time, I won’t be responding to comments.
If you genuinely wish to collect these pieces, please reach out via private message.

And by the end of this week, a few selected pieces will be taken for exhibition at the city’s shopping mall.
The exhibition project will run from now through the end of Lunar New Year (late February),
so please finalize early if you wish to secure a piece before then.
Thank you!
