The Infirmary (Furness Cottage) is undergoing a substantial rehabilitation. This historic structure, built in 1890, suffered damage when Hurricane Matthew uprooted a live oak tree just to the east of the building. Efforts are underway to stabilize the cottage. Research has revealed that the shingle-style Queen Anne structure was likely painted a light grayish-blue after being moved to its current location for use as an Infirmary in 1930. Returning to this Club Era color will result in a dramatic change to the appearance of the cottage.
