From RC Cars to Camera Skills – An Unexpected Journey
I used to know nothing about photography or filmmaking. But then came RC Scale – and everything changed.

At first, I was simply mesmerized by the beauty of these little machines that could move, climb, and take on challenges like real trucks. But just watching them with my eyes felt like such a waste for a precious weekend. I wanted to capture those moments – so I picked up a camera and started filming.

Those early videos? Honestly, they were awkward: poor composition, dull colors, no rhythm. But my love for RC pushed me to keep learning – lighting, framing, storytelling through visuals.

RC Scale has given me incredible experiences and taught me so much along the way – patience, creativity, and the joy of making something my own.
My YouTube channel, E3S-RC, has had its ups and downs. Sometimes I post regularly, sometimes life and work take over. But it's still running – quietly, steadily, like a crawler crossing tough terrain.

And I believe… one day, the YouTube Silver Play Button will find its way to me.

What's so great about RC cars...?
Today, we tried interviewing a newbie who just "fell into the rabbit hole" of this hobby... and the answer we got was absolutely on fire! 🔥😄

RC Crawlers – Remote-controlled off-road vehicles – are a hobby built on technical skill, creativity, and pure personalization. It's not for the masses, but for those who enter, it’s nearly impossible to walk away.
Especially when it comes to 1/10 scale RC rigs.
For me, each build is a creative space — a canvas where I can freely experiment and recreate the beauty and spirit of real-world off-road machines.

This isn't just a toy.
This is a passion for grown men —
those who live and breathe cars, admire engineering, and above all — worship the art of craftsmanship, down to the tiniest detail.

Over the past year, the Town Truck 6x6 has slowly taken shape.

Based on a Toyota FJ45 body from the Vanquish VS4-10 Phoenix kit, and built on the rugged Traxxas TRX-6 platform, this rig is more than just a scale model—it’s a mission machine.

Every detail of the tow system—towbar, mast sheaves, cables, boom sheaves—was handmade by Dom Miu, the craftsman who always helps bring my wildest ideas to life. The goal? To create a rescue rig capable of tackling the harshest terrains and saving stuck vehicles in the toughest situations.

Right now, the project is 75% complete, and we’re pushing forward to unveil it on a beautiful day soon.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen an RC scale enthusiast who pays such attention to detail…

Many people ask: How can I own an RC model car as detailed as this? The answer isn’t simple! Even if you have the financial means, you can’t just buy the perfect RC car right away. RC scale is not just a toy – it’s a journey of discovery and creativity.

Unlike real cars, where you can go to a workshop and customize your vehicle in a few days, RC scale requires you to research, assemble, and experiment multiple times. You can’t just buy a car that looks like the one in the picture and expect a fulfilling experience—because if you do, you’ll likely get bored in just a few days.

So, how do you get into this time-consuming and costly hobby? The most important things are passion and patience. You need to learn how to choose the right parts, assemble them yourself, fine-tune the scale proportions, and sometimes, you’ll have to pay your “tuition fees” through trial and error to build a car that truly satisfies you.
