WHY WE CREATED THE VIRTUAL TOURS...
Am quite certain this could be one of the major questions running through your mind right now as you look through our portal and if not, we shall still gladly open up about the
reason why such an product ever crossed our minds. At EONKOM, we are problem solvers and this one wasn't an obvious problem (the reason we are the pioneers of such a product in Uganda!).
We love to travel and learn as
much as possible from all sorts of places but there wasn't a more interactive way to share our experiences with other people. We really wanted (and still want) everyone to know
how amazing Uganda is, so many attractions, educational centers, relaxation environments etc. Using videos would need a lot of data for someone to stream everything if
uploaded online and what if we left out an angle as we shot??!! Still pictures were too rigid, no room to look around except what we had shot and even if we shot numerous, the
lack of continuity looks boring to us. Considering those factors and many others I can't list here, we decided to create a product so light (in terms of data consumption) and very interactive in order to share the
beauty and resourcefulness of Uganda (for the start because we plan to expand to other countries) with everyone else as long as you have access to the internet and a well
updated browser (desktop and mobile). We are working hard to cover as many places as possibly can so what you are seeing now ain't the last of what we have to offer!
