HOW DOES ENDOMETRIOSIS AFFECTS MY HORMONES AND FERTILITY

HORMONES IMPACTS:

* Progesterone resistance: tissues don't respond well to Progesterone which will normally help limit growth

* Estrogen feeds edometrial lesions, causing inflammatory and pain.

* Chronic inflammation affects hormone signalling and immune functions.

FERTILITY IMPACTS

* Affects Ovulation and hormonal timing

* Scarring and adhesions in the pelvic may block fallopian tube or distort anatomy.

What is Luteal phase and why is it important ?
The luteal phase is the time between your Ovulation and your next menstruation period day 15 - day 28 of your cycle.
A short Luteal phase may signals low Progesterone and can hinder conception. luteal phase must be long enough ( 12 - 14 days ) for an embryo to implant.
A woman BBT chart shows temperature rise ( indicating Ovulation ), but it drops again just 7 days later, this indicates a luteal phase defects, possible due to low Progesterone.@
