Distortion Grids Database is a structured library built for real post-production workflows.

It includes:

For years, we have all faced the same problem: the grids we need are missing, lost in project archives, captured in the wrong format, delivered too late, or were never captured at all.

The Future of the VFX Pipeline: 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 🎥

Last week, the Matchmove machine team attended the exclusive /i Insights event in Los Angeles.

Our artist got a firsthand look at technologies that could seriously reshape the VFX pipeline.

Key takeaways:

🎬 The event brought together top-level film industry professionals in the heart of Burbank.

🔍 Cooke showed how detailed lens metadata can be embedded directly into the optics and extracted in post via their Nuke plugin.

🔬 One of the most impressive demos was animated distortion on anamorphic shots — already looking like a polished production tool.

⚙️ We also asked about 3DEqualizer. Direct integration is not available yet, but Cooke is aware of the demand and plans to work toward broader access and future connectivity.

📊 We also shared Matchmove machine’s Grid Database and are excited to compare Cooke’s automated data with our own manual testing methods in real production conditions.
