We were born in 2006 as The Propeller Group, a collective of artists, designers and filmmakers that had dreams of making major contributions to the current media landscape. As these artists erupted onto the international scene, TPG was reborn in 2011 as an expansive unit tackling more challenging commercial projects. Now we come again, shedding skin through the year of the snake and taking off in
the year of the horse, as the outfit known as TPG Films. TPG Films is still as ambitious as our first incarnation but now we are fully focussed on producing creative and original content and offering new visual narratives to the world. We are not a big company, but from our work, you wouldn’t be able to tell. We move easily from concept creation, to design, then to production and finally post-production, delivering projects that range from 30 second films to 10 day long films. And like our first incarnation, we still run the gamut from commercial work to the most ambitious art projects. Lots of production houses will use the term “art” in their company descriptions, but they haven’t seen a actual exhibition. Some of the works we produce are exhibited in renowned museums like the Museum of Modern Art in New York. But we don’t stop there, we have works shown in some of the biggest film festivals, and on local as well as international television.
