Before you judge, let me clear something up. My pregnancy wasn't a scheme to climb the career ladder or trap a man who didn't want me. Allen, my boss, and I fell in love from the moment we met. It was more than just smiles and glances; our relationship was real and romantic.

When I found out I was pregnant, I was over the moon and couldn't wait to tell Allen.

But his reaction was a punch to the gut. He said my pregnancy was "inappropriate" and should be terminated. Then he dropped the bomb: "I love you, Maria, but we can't do this anymore. We can't be together because I'm married."

I was floored. Allen never mentioned he was married, and I'd never have gotten involved with a married man. But there was no way I was terminating the pregnancy — I believe children are a gift from God.

So, I kept working while pregnant, and Allen made my job harder by the day. But the big blow came when I had the baby and was on maternity leave.😳👇

MY NEIGHBORS THREW THEIR ROTTEN HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS IN MY YARD SO I WOULD TAKE THEM AWAY

The morning after Halloween, I left for work and was hit by a nasty smell. Rounding the corner, I found a pile of rotting pumpkins, dried-out cornstalks, and broken skeletons scattered across my lawn. Figured it had to be some prank… until I saw a note taped to one of the pumpkins:

"Figured you’d want the rest of the neighborhood's decorations too. Enjoy cleaning it up, since you love decorating so much."

I knew that handwriting: my neighbor Brenda. My blood boiled.

I marched over and knocked. Her husband Gary opened the door, smirk barely hidden.

“Any reason your junk is all over my yard?” I asked, barely containing myself.

Gary shrugged. “Well, since you’re the last one with decorations up, figured you could handle ours, too. Think of it as a ‘favor’ for the neighborhood.”

I fumed all day, dreading the cleanup. But then, a few days later, my phone rang. It was Brenda, practically shrieking.

AFTER 40 YEARS OF MARRIAGE, MY HUSBAND SHUT ME UP AT DINNER — JUST 15 MINUTES IN, AND I BURST OUT LAUGHING, AS HE TOTALLY EMBARRASSED HIMSELF.

Hank and I have been together forever, ya know? All this time, this cranky old man thinks he's Mr. Always Right! I could put up with a lot, but letting him spoil my dream trip to France? No way!

I'd been squirreling away money, brushing up on my French for years. So, I just sprung it on him by gifting us tickets.
But even in France, my grumpy old man wouldn't admit I might actually know a thing or two! He flat out refused my help with the language. So there we were, at a restaurant. Hank just points at the menu to pick a dish.

Me: "Honey, you should..."
He: "Shhh, Edith! I'm not a child! I'll take this one! NOW!"

15 minutes later, Hank's bolting out of the john, all green and freaked out, hollering, "HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL ME?!"👇

I CAME HOME WITH MY NEWBORN TWINS TO FIND THE LOCKS CHANGED AND A NOTE.

I had just been discharged from the hospital after giving birth to my twin girls, Ella and Sophie. My husband, Derek, was supposed to pick us up, But at the last minute, he called.

"Mom's really unwell. I need to take her to the hospital. I can't pick you up,” he said, sounding rushed.

Disappointed but trying to stay calm, I called a taxi.

When I got home, I froze. My suitcases and bags were dumped on the doorstep. I approached the door, calling, "Derek?" but there was no answer.

I tried my key—it didn't work. The locks had been changed. My stomach dropped. That’s when I saw the note taped to one of the bags: "Get out of here with your little moochers! I know everything. Derek."

My heart stopped. I read the note three times, hoping I was hallucinating. But no.

Then the worst part began. ⬇️
