I simply cannot get this out of my mind. Went camping last weekend in BLM area (Northeast WA State). As we were looking for a spot, we came across this…. something…??? I thought it was insulation at first and got out to check. Not insulation. This log of fleshy disgusting whateverness. There was no smell, barely any bugs, no bones, just this meat log in the middle of the woods. This was the closest I was willing to get. Help me what is this ?

My sister's landlord is attempting to withhold her $3,000 deposit because of a wall crack allegedly caused by structural foundation shifting from heavy furniture. Is this a valid reason? I plan to accompany her to the meeting with the landlord as it appears to be a minor issue with the house settling. I've advised her to take no action regarding the crack. The landlord claims that any repairs would be considered fraudulent. I believe it's standard property maintenance.

I found this in my bathroom that is shared with multiple household members. I Google image searched it and it was convinced it was this antique mechanical pencil, but that's not what it is.
It's very light and isn't cold to the touch so it feels more like it's made of plastic than metal. No openings. Nothing on it moves. It seems like it's one molded piece.
