🇻🇺🇫🇷 L’Ambassade de France au Vanuatu et aux Îles Salomon a appris avec une profonde tristesse le décès de M. Joseph Molkis, francophone et francophile engagé de l’île de Pentecôte. M. Molkis a contribué, par son dévouement et sa vision, à la réalisation de deux projets importants de construction et d’aménagement du Collège de Melsisi, financés par la France sur l’île de Pentecôte. Nous présentons nos sincères condoléances à sa famille et à ses proches et au peuple du Vanuatu.

🇻🇺 Vanuatu Mobile Force Joins 🇵🇬 PNG’s 🎉50th Independence 🪖🎖Military Tattoo

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea – Papua New Guinea marked its 50th Independence Anniversary with a grand Military Tattoo at Sir Hubert Murray Stadium, showcasing military bands, precision drills, cultural performances and fireworks.

The Vanuatu Mobile Force (VMF) was among the invited participants, joining counterparts from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Japan, Tonga, the United States, the United Kingdom and others.

Their participation highlights:

📍The spirit of regional partnership and unity,

📍VMF’s expertise in ceremonial duties such as Guard of Honour,

📍Strengthened defence cooperation with Pacific allies, and

📍A commitment to cultural exchange and peace-building.

The VMF Band was warmly received by the PNG public with their performance of George Telek’s song “Peace,” symbolising friendship and harmony across the Pacific. #
