The special thing about this song is that it is taken from the Bible [Psalms 16:1-2], from the scrolls of King David in the Old Testament.

A NEW Production is born this year 2026! Listen to the Master Riddim now!

We present to you Coconut Sound Production! A locally homegrown Label sponsored by Jr. Ras Entertainment!

Coconut Sound Production is NEW to the business but their FL Studio Experience goes way back! This one is called Reggae Roots Riddim & it will be the first Riddim from them to be Exported for International Digital Distribution with the support from Jr. Ras Entertainment.

This Riddim is composed of 80% FL Studio work & 20% Live Sound Recording. The Riddim was then Mixed & Mastered by Pakor Records with additional plugins from Alborosie Dub Station.

We would like to thank these outstanding Professional musicians for adding LIVE SOUND into the Riddim section during its production:

"Every Time" is another hit song from Modern Roots as they gear up for their 2nd album recording this year 2026! Watch them LIVE as they rehearse one of their classic ROCK song. The special thing about this song is the third verse contains "Raggamuffin" style of lyrics. Watch till the end to find out more!

Raggamuffin has never been blended into ROCK music before. The only Genre which Raggamuffin has entered is Hip-Hop, starting from Junior Reid song "One Blood", Damian Marley "Welcome to Jamrock", & Kapaka Pyramid "Red Gold & Green" song. Modern Roots will become the first band to blend Rock & Raggamuffin once its recorded.

This song is dedicated to all "Lovers" (especially a boy & girl) out there, wherever you are in the world, whether you are starting one, looking forward to one, been waiting for one, or just by luck you got one. With smooth Lyrics, it's easy to understand the meaning of the song. It's a longtime home coming masterpiece. One of my favourites as it brings back lots of good memories from primary & high school. A true love song story.

Local band Modern Roots is gearing up for their 2nd album recording this year 2026! Watch them LIVE as they rehearse one of their songs called "I Have". A Classic Genre. This song talks about the simplicities of life, from island life, to simple living, all put together in one piece of art. All melodies are originally composed by the musicians themselves & the Lyrics is also composed by their front man Jr. Ras.

Vanuatu Solo Artist Jr. Ras developed the local band Modern Roots back in 2018 to 2021. He helped financed their first album recording in 2019 & later released it in 2023. In 2025 Modern Roots recorded their single track "Mes Amis" to kick start off their 2nd album campaign. During that same year Jr. Ras also released his first album called "The Conqueror".

Jr. Ras supported the band members by providing them allowances to help boost their career, paid their rehearsal sessions, wrote & composed most of their songs, invested in their future database, & gave the band full time online existence by signing an International Distribution Deal with Zojak World Wide based in USA, Miami, Florida.

He financed & took the band to La Fete de La Musique from 2019 to 2021 organised by Alliance Francaise. He also took the band to Fest Napuan from 2019 to 2021 organised by Vanuatu Cultural Museum. After that period he focused solely on their recording & their CATALOG. Under an International Distribution Deal a band can export multiple genre as long as they continue to exist, record & produce more songs for online streaming. As long as they are well managed they can make it online, continue to sell, & continue to exist & shine.

The band does not perform locally or regularly because of the Politics of Music that keeps the industry poor. They only Rehearse, Record, Produce & Export to international streaming platforms for consumption purposes only. In Vanuatu, Copyrights Laws in regards to Artistic works are not well protected & not really valued, even though artists & managers spend a lot of money to keep their music floating.

The only future of Music today is "Online Streaming". With streaming you have full protection, full time online existence, continue to make online money, & your generation (future siblings) will continue to benefit from it. From 2023 to 2026 Modern Roots continues to produce & sell music online, continues to work on new songs, takes more break as they continue to generate more online money for their future development.

Watch Local band Modern Roots LIVE as they perform "We Are Champions" instrumental version from their album "Nakamalites" that was released back in 2023. A Punk Rock song that talks about the philosophy of Martin Luther King Jr. from his popular speech of all times "I Have A Dream".

Watch Local band Modern Roots perform "Tears of Freedom" instrumental LIVE version from their album "Nakamalites" that was released back in 2023. A song about West Papua.

West Papua is believed to be part of Melanesian Heritage but due to the colonial era of the past century West Papua has now been under the strong regime control of the state of Indonesia. West Papuan native share the same Melanesian cultural roots, tradition, values, and its connection to the land. West Papua today has been experiencing mass genocide by the military regime of the Indonesian government, enforcing reign & terror upon the land.

But the real truth that lies behind the colonisation of West Papua & trying to making it into a part of the state of Indonesia is the rich mineral resources which West Papua has. The companies extracting mineral resources from West Papua actually come from world power countries. But no one is talking about it. The Genocide, the segregation, the displacement of the locals, the agony, & the total annihilations of Black people from their ancestral mother land.

Father Walta Lini had made it clear after the independence of Vanuatu in 1980 that "all Melanesian people must be set free", and West Papua was among one of them during his speeches. Today, Vanuatu still stands for the immediate FREEDOM of native West Papuan people. Modern Roots also stands with them in this perilous times. The song is still selling today.
