As children of God we are asked to listen to Him and follow His leading. . In this passage the Lord is saying to the Israelites (from around 600 years before Jesus arrival) to take heed and listen. God kindly tells them about His plans to make them happy but in their ignorance they rebelled and the final outcome for them was not going to be as good as they had hoped. The lesson is to listen closely and to make sure you are following the Lords calling in order to see your promised land come to pass. All by the grace of God himself.

From humble beginnings to becoming King. The amazing amount of courage David had when facing the giant Goliath was totally based on trusting the Lord without fear. He had killed many a huge lion or bear when he was just a child and ran towards the giant yelling these words.

Maybe we should all be yelling at our fears instead of taking them on board silently and suffering. Really trusting the Lord who loves us unconditionally is going to help immensely towards conquering them.
