We are so happy to help honor lola Clara Diaz’s legacy and the Diaz Cafe. If you’re in Ketchikan, grab some food and see the exhibit!

For some Ketchikan residents, Diaz Cafe is more than just a Filipino restaurant – it’s a gathering place that blends culture and community. And at the helm of it all is a nurse-turned-restaurateur who immigrated to the United States nearly 70 years ago.

Kick off Filipino American History Month at Diaz Cafe on October 1st!

We’ve partnered with KETCHIKAN KAPAMILYA and Mana - Filipino American History in Alaska to kick off Filipino-American History Month with a special night celebrating the history of Diaz Cafe.

The history of Diaz Cafe will be shared through archival photos and stories, with a special exhibit from Mana, celebrating our very own Clara Diaz.

Takeout rice plates and lumpia will be available for purchase.
