I had to opportunity to chat with Mr. Boyd in a yet to be released episode. This news is devastating. From our conversation, he was such an insightful and inviting man. He had an enormous amount of experience and knowledge. I was honored to catch a glimpse of his life and accomplishments. Rest in peace Danny, you will be missed.
We are saddened this morning by news of the passing of Danny Boyd. A true legend in filmmaking, not only in West Virginia but definitely proud to be a filmmaker in West Virginia. Through his work as a professor, mentor, and creative inspiration, he influenced and encouraged generations of young filmmakers. His impact on our creative community will be felt for many years to come.
