Hi Everyone,
I am producing a short film alongside Olivia Gifford as part of the Take Three Short Film Programme (Screen Scotland / BFI Network) and we are beginning our search for cast.
It is directed by Scottish based Bangladeshi filmmaker Riad Arfin. Please see the casting call below. We are looking nationwide:
CASTING CALL
Lead Actor in Short Film:
Do you speak Bangla/Bengali?
Do you have an interest in acting in a short film?
Character: ROBIUL (male), a Bangladeshi taxi driver in Glasgow
Age Range: 35–45
Ethnicity: South Asian
Language: Native Bangla speaker, English
Preferable: UK Driving Licence
Needs: Right to work in the UK
Rate: Equity minimum (short/low budget film)
Shooting: End of March or start of April 2026
Location: Central Belt of Scotland
Deadline: 24th February 2026
