Doesn’t that sound nice? To start 2026 with ease and confidence?

I’m usually planning 6-12 months at a time. Because one of the things that I don’t want is added anxiety to my already full life. And one of the things that brings anxiety for me is when I’m not organized and don’t know what to do next.

In order to set ourselves up for success we have to do all the backend work ahead of time so when the time comes we can more forward with ease.

I know it sounds overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be. When you have a group of jefas cheering you on and keeping you accountable, you can really feel like you’re not in this alone.

I met Sarah recently at a networking event.

We ended up having a great conversation at the end about her work and how she is really advocating for women to understand their body from the inside out.

She mentioned that the typical blood labs that are run by a doctor are only a tiny bit of a full blood workup that you could get. WHAT? Why not run all the labs and do all the things?

Why does it seem so hard to get actual answers or be pointed in the right direction by a doctor?

Well I’m bring the conversation to our comunidad because I’ve had enough of being told that everything is “normal” when I know something feels off...and is not normal.

I’ve known Louisa Olushoga for 15 years. She is not only my friend, but an amazing psychiatrist who truly cares for her community.

It was at an event that she spoke at, that I first learned that Latina women are more likely to experience perimenopause earlier in life than white women. I was shocked, and it prompted me to pay closer attention to my body, and start asking around for other people’s experience or knowledge around menopause.

I was shocked that I’m in my late 30s and that I couldn’t think of one conversation from the women around me about their experience during that time for them. WHY IS THAT?

Well I’m bring the conversation to our comunidad because we all need to know the ups and downs that our body goes through during this time, AND how we can best support ourselves mentally and physically.

Amigas! I’m excited to announce an event I’ve been thinking of for 6 months now!

As I get older my body is changing and shifting…and I’m like what the heck is going on. So as I’ve been on a journey of educating myself on perimenopause, nutritional health, and working with a psychiatrist and therapist…i wanted to share what I’ve been learning with all of you! So I’m inviting some experts to get real with us on our women hood as we age and how to take care of ourselves holistically.
