✈️💛 Aviation has given me so much more than flight hours—it’s given me freedom, friendships, unforgettable firsts, and a community I’m proud to be part of. From my first solo in 45H to connecting with incredible people (who became my besties) through airport management, every moment in the sky (and on the ground) has shaped who I am today. Big thanks to Wilber and Orville- I’m incredibly grateful for this life.✨

Not many 11 year olds can say they spent their summer learning fabric work and rib stitching on a vintage airplane. Thankful my son has the opportunity to learn this (I’m only showing him what little I know, my dad is the real family expert). In this picture he is learning that we coat all surfaces that fabric will touch in glue before we put the fabric on.🪡

The best part about flying and aircraft ownership is getting to share it with others, especially my son. I’m thankful he enjoys helping out, and we are all ready to have 45H back in the air soon!✈️

Did you know that in 2022 Kentucky airports contributed $23.7 BILLION in total economic output?? That’s 9.1% of the state’s gross domestic product. This includes our commercial service airports and all of our general aviation airports.✈️🛩️

The Henderson City-County Airport contributed $60.9 million in economic output in 2022, including over $2.6 million in state and local tax revenues. What a huge value our airports bring to our state and local economies!!💰

When everything is stacked against you- don’t quit. Find a way. There is someone at an airport nearby who will jump in and help however they can. I promise.

Finally got to take this girl flying!! Caroline is the daughter of a long-time friend, and I’m so glad we could meet up to get her a flight in 45H! She’s smart as a tack, naturally curious, and has more self-awareness than most adults I know. I hope this is the first of many flights together!💛✈️

✈️75 years in the Jones/Herron family!!✈️
The core memories that I have made in the airplane are unmeasurable, but here are a few. So grateful my grandpa saw fit to purchase this beautiful Cub in June 1949, and that he and my dad kept her, flew her, and maintained her for all these years.💛

I loved learning to fly in the Cub and I’m excited for the privilege of teaching my son. What an amazing family legacy. Here’s to 75 years!🥂

Being a *general aviation* Airport Manager means being in a suit on Capitol Hill on a Friday and back for daily fuel checks at the airport on a Saturday.✈️

I wear a lot of hats in this job, some days it’s fueling planes and customer service, some days it’s planning an event, and some days it’s advocating for funding with legislators in Washington, DC. Plus a few more, haha!🧢👒🎩

One of my favorite parts of my career is that every day is different! There’s always something to learn and ways to grow as a professional and leader. I’ve only been in this career full-time for 4 years, but each season teaches me something new about myself and my industry. Couldn’t be more grateful.☺️

Beech Bash in the Bluegrass 2024 was one for the books! Putting on an event of this magnitude takes a ton of work, and it was truly a team effort!💪🏼

When Sam Guirguis came to me 2.5 years ago with the idea for this event, I thought, “sure, invite some of your Beechcraft friends to our airport in KY, sounds fun!” I would have never imagined that by the third year we would be welcoming 107 aircraft to Madisonville, KY! Thankful he entrusted us at Madisonville to host this awesome event that he has turned into something so unique.💛

This event would not be successful without the amazing sponsors, volunteers, my airport staff, our Airport Board, and the City of Madisonville. It takes a village!✈️

The aviation community really is the best, and I’m honored that all the Beech friends I’ve made over the last 3 years have taken in this Cub pilot & Airport Manager as one of their own.☺️
