Years ago, my friend Sativa, who I met at EWU, was murdered while on vacation in Mexico by her boyfriend. After 5 years of waiting for justice, her trial in Mexico has now been continued until May 18th and is expected to continue through May 21st.

There are no words for the kind of strength it takes for a family to carry grief like this for years while continuing to fight for justice.

With the trial continuing in Mexico, her family is facing even more unexpected travel and legal expenses just to continue showing up for Sativa.

In honor of her, and to support the people who have never stopped fighting for justice, 100% of proceeds from Poison Ivy sales will be donated directly to her family during the trial.

We wish we had better news to share.

The trial has been continued until May 18th and is now expected to go on until May 21st.

We do not want to risk giving him any reason to appeal so we will not be sharing any more information at this time.

We wish we had better news to share. Unfortunately, we’re asking once again for your help in sharing the GoFundMe.

The trial has been continued to May 18th and Is now expected to go on until May 21st.

Our attorney has emphasized how important it is for my mom to be present in person. With such short notice, travel back to Mexico in the next two weeks is expected to cost around $4,000—on top of the expenses and lost income we’ve already taken on.

We also recently found out we now have $8,000 more in unexpected legal fees.
