I like being “The Heart Rock Guy”, and I LOVE being Becca’s husband and Davey’s dad!

I never knew happiness could be so overwhelmingly, and completely beautiful!

Becca’s recovery (from a hospital record-setting baby head) is going well! We’re both still trying to figure out sleep. (Recommendations welcomed in the comments!)

We’ve started to go on our daily walks again. Becca and I try to walk 3-5 miles together daily—it’s been our thing since our first date, a hike.

Dave is beautiful, healthy, strong, happy, content, chill as can be, and a great blessing to our family. He brought our happiness to a whole new level.

It’s incredible how fast he is growing, changing, and learning!

We’re accepting bets on hair and eye color. Also, will he be 6-foot-6-inches or taller when fully grown? (I have some big genes in my family. They skipped my generation…I’m only 6’1”.)

Davey is our “Joy-Maker”.

Thank you for being patient with me—I know I haven’t posted very exciting content for a while. My role as “The Heart Rock Guy” will always be secondary to my role as a husband and father. I’m sure as the wells go by that I’ll find a rhythm and get better at balancing adding my heart rock kindness movement back into my life.

I collected this raw Wonderstone, and spent fifty hours making these hearts so I could give them away.

I use them to remind people That they matter, are loved, and are not alone.

It’s how I remind myself.

That’s what makes kindness so magical. 🧡

Today was a BIG day for me. I filmed a segment at the State Capitol, then handed out heart rocks at a hospital to cancer patients, and left some in the hospital serenity garden for someone to find.

I love being able to use my art to make the world a better place!

I met several wonderful individuals who are fighting cancer. Each of them were incredibly humble and grateful for their heart rock reminder that things will be okay, that they’re loved, and that they’re not alone.

Hello, Davey!

I never knew love could be so profoundly complete!

Becca and I are feeling very blessed. Everything went smoothly and we received an incredible amount of love and support.

Baby Ballard’s due date came and went on Sunday! Becca and the baby are healthy and well, and we’re excitedly awaiting baby boy’s arrival any day now.

As you can imagine, we’ll be pretty busy over the next several weeks, so I won’t be posting much on here. Thank you all for your continued support of my heart rock mission.
