A new COVID subvariant, NB.1.8.1 — a descendant of JN.1 — is now spreading rapidly across Asia and has been detected in the U.S., including at major airports.

What Employers and Workers Need to Know about COVID-19 Isolation & Quarantine?

Emergency Temporary Standards (ETS) on COVID-19 Prevention require employers to exclude employees from the workplace under certain circumstances. While the employee is excluded, their employer must maintain their pay and benefits.

Employers in New York State are required to provide at least 5 or 14 days of job protected, paid COVID-19 sick leave to employees who need to take leave because they are under a mandatory or precautionary order of quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19.

Take the following steps to prevent monkeypox:
🚫Avoid close, skin-to-skin contact with people who have a rash that looks like monkeypox.
🚫Do not handle or touch the bedding, towels, or clothing of a person with monkeypox.
✔️ Wash your hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
