The year-long Resident Artist programme facilitates and supports the creative and professional development of outstanding emerging musicians, theatre makers and poets between the ages of 18-25 as they establish themselves in their fields.

Alongside masterclasses, networking opportunities and mentoring, the programme provides performance opportunities within the Roundhouse

WHO ARE THEY LOOKING FOR?

They’re looking for emerging artists between the ages of 18-25 who are committed to developing their artistic skills and establishing themselves in the industry.

Maybe you have released some work and are ready to start performing live.

Committed to finding, nurturing and sustaining future generations of music makers, The Future Producers Academy will offer mentorship, studio experience and shared knowledge to 16 young music makers from across the UK.

PRS Foundation POWER UP Participant Programme is currently accepting applications from Black music creators and Black music industry professionals.

The chosen participants will receive a grant of up to £10,000, plus mentoring and marketing and promotional support.

If you’re an emerging A&R, producer, songwriter, rapper or promoter, the Youth Music NextGen Fund offers grants of £3,000 to help make your creative goals come to life.

This fund is open to 18–25-year-olds (or up to 30 for those identifying as d/Deaf, neurodivergent or Disabled) who live in the UK.

In response to the increased cost of living, Youth Music have increased the grants to £3,000, as well as the maximum you can spend on equipment to £700.

It has been a fantastic year at !

We have loved supporting grass roots music, DJs, rappers, vocalists, songwriters, bands, producers, live streamers, artists, videographers and content creators alike with our a very special creative space.

We are looking forward to 2025 with more changes and additional equipment in our studios to support music creatives in Medway and surrounding area.

We do what we do because we ❤️ the art of music, we’ll continue beating the odds to give YOU the facilities needed to support grass roots music and more. We invest every penny of our income back into our studios to keep the lights on and the equipment shiny. Without you, there is no Medway Sound; we cherish and appreciate everybody that has graced our space, long may that continue!
