Budgam Police Attached Head Office Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Hyderpora under UAPA

Budgam: In a major action Budgam Police have attached the head office of the banned organisation Tehreek-e-Hurriyat at Rehmatabad, Hyderpora, under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).

The attached property comprises a three-storey building on 1 kanal 1 marla of land (Khasra No. 946, Khata No. 306) which was being used as the office of the banned outfit. The action is linked to FIR No. 08/2024 registered at Police Station Budgam under UAPA.

Acting on collected evidence and with due approval from the competent authority, the property was attached as per legal provisions. This action marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation against unlawful and subversive activities and reflects the firm resolve of Budgam Police to neutralize threats to national security and maintain peace in the region.

Budgam Police, in coordination with other agencies, will continue to take strict measures against individuals and organisations engaged in activities detrimental to the sovereignty and integrity of the Nation.

Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi Visits Historic Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah, New Delhi

​NEW DELHI: Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Hon'ble Minister of State and Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, paid a visit to the revered Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah in New Delhi today. The visit underscores the importance of cultural and spiritual heritage sites and follows her ongoing efforts to streamline the management and development of religious endowments.
​During her visit, Dr. Andrabi offered prayers and paid obeisance at the shrine of the 14th-century Sufi saint, Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. She also took the opportunity to interact with the Dargah's managing body and some devotees.
​Dr. Andrabi, who holds the rank of Minister of State, discussed the administrative and management practices of the Dargah, particularly focusing on effective measures for crowd management and ensuring convenience for pilgrims. She emphasized the importance of maintaining the spiritual sanctity and architectural integrity of such historical monuments, which are vital cultural links across the nation.
​The Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board highlighted the commitment of the board to bringing transparency and reform to Waqf properties in Jammu & Kashmir, and expressed her dedication to the preservation and development of revered shrines, taking inspiration from the management of prominent institutions across the country.
