Where did that free-spirit go?

Did she finally have to grow up to pay bills? to be a parent? to be responsible?

So even though I am a teaching 24 five- year young little humans and a mom to 4 kids, as a digital business mentor, I get to awaken my inner child- that free, fun, playful spirit. I get to imagine and create again. I get to play in my business like a child at the playground.

Is it worth it every time?

Yes, because I am either learning or getting better in my craft.

Is it exciting?

Yes, because I get to choose what I need to focus on to grow in my business.

I dontโ€™ know but she checked my cash when I went to pay for my items.

Wow! the audacity!!

The lady at the cash register held my two $20 bills to inspect it for a good minute, it seemed like.

She even ran it through the machine to verify that it was real.

She was hesitant after all that, as though she was going to call the manager for a second opinion.

It was cash and it was being treated like a foreign object in this day and age.

๐ˆ๐ญ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐›๐ž...

when you used a credit card or debit card, the person at the register would check your ID to verify that it was you. Do you remember that?

Now, in most places, you get charged 3% when you use a card.

Some places donโ€™t even accept cash.

And guess what?- my underage kids can make a purchase with my credit card and itโ€™s not even questioned.

Whatโ€™s going on right?

๐–๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ, ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐ข๐ฌโ€ฆ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌ.

The way things have been done is shifting to be more convenient, easier, and with more simplicity.

If we arenโ€™t changing with the times and learning, are we truly adapting to how fast this world is transforming?

With some jobs and making extra income, itโ€™s become easier and more flexible (except for teachers.)

Some people can still work from home and get the job done (except for teachers.)

You donโ€™t have to โ€œgoโ€ to work and โ€œclock inโ€ anymore (except for teachers) if you are building your own digital business (and teachers can do this!).

Making money the traditional way has definitely changed

โ€ฆ and knowing that you can learn and change with the times keeps you relevant and adapting to how fast everything is changing too.

Treated myself out to...

a long drive to Roseville & back
.. for double matcha and a matcha waffle...

I ended up drinking only half and having 2 bites of the dessert.

This one definitely wasn't about the destination though...

It was definitely about:

* getting some alone time

* listening to the feel- good music

* just driving on the long stretch of road

* taking a mental break

* remembering who I am at the core (not as a mom, wife, or teacher)

* embracing the parts of me that I put away for too long

If you're waiting for permission, give it to yourself.

If you need a little self- "anything," do it for yourself.

If you want a little more in life, know that it's you who can do it for yourself.

This digital business has been my saving Grace
