This year marked my third year emceeing the Annual 5K Walk & Half-Mile Here for You Walk/Roll — and I’m honored every single year to stand beside a community that’s fighting for something so impactful: breaking the stigma on mental health and suicide💚

🧠Mental health awareness isn’t just something I speak on — it’s something I’ve lived. As someone who has personally battled depression, self-harm, and suicidal ideation, this cause is deeply personal to me🧠

It’s why I continue to show up and why I’m a board member. It’s why I continue to speak out. And it’s why I will always remind anyone struggling that you are not alone — and the world truly needs YOU here! 🌎🗣️

Last week our founder and CEO Jessie went through the process of how to run an open mic with in preparation for their “Land Opening Open Mic” on May 31st 10-2 at 1 Collins Street Lynn, MA. 🌱🌻🍎

Jessie was able to do a practice open mic with the youth and teach about how to hold and host an open mic by comparing “cultivating land” and “cultivating community”with a heavy focus on the importance of positive energy, encouragement, audience engagement at an open mic and the power of using our voice on a microphone🎙️🗣️

We are proud to be able to work with such an impactful local nonprofit to provide open mic and hosting education. 🧡

Looking forward to another hosting at workshop with them to prepare next month
