Last week our founder and CEO Jessie went through the process of how to run an open mic with in preparation for their “Land Opening Open Mic” on May 31st 10-2 at 1 Collins Street Lynn, MA. 🌱🌻🍎

Jessie was able to do a practice open mic with the youth and teach about how to hold and host an open mic by comparing “cultivating land” and “cultivating community”with a heavy focus on the importance of positive energy, encouragement, audience engagement at an open mic and the power of using our voice on a microphone🎙️🗣️

We are proud to be able to work with such an impactful local nonprofit to provide open mic and hosting education. 🧡

Looking forward to another hosting at workshop with them to prepare next month

We are so excited to have Nate Nics on board as a panelist and performer for Gallery Talk Vol 2: Word is Bond! ✒️🔐

Nate Nics is a rapper, producer, songwriter, and community organizer from Boston, MA. Nate works to uplift the experiences of his community through activating his and their voices through music and often emphasizes that vulnerability is what creates genuine connections between an artist and an audience. As an organizer, Nate works to create a long-standing social impact alongside young people through his work as Program Director for the Center for Teen Empowerment’s Boston Chapter.
