Stay tuned for my latest project “Don’t Let Nicco Quit” which I recently wrote and acted in alongside my scene partner and directed/filmed by about the power of what I like to call supporting characters in our lives that help us into taking action. In the plot of a film it’s referred to as helping the hero into rising action. Think Mickey in Rocky. Mom in Forrest Gump…

Stay tuned for more!

It’s a wrap for “The Setup”! (of course I played in a Doctor in my first role 🤣)

After just about a full year of class as an actor at I am delighted to report that I have officially filmed my first project with a full professional production team—what an experience!

A very special thank you to my wonderful scene partner/classmate/friend Kimberly Epstein who invited me into this awesome opportunity. Not only that but Kim courageously allowed me to have creative freedom to bring a concept in the back of my mind to life with my first fully filmed and self written script! I couldn’t have done it without having Kim ground me and help fine tune the script into a believable and funny story that I think you all will appreciate (especially our friends and family that can relate 😉 stay tuned 👀)

Can’t say enough about how great it was to work with such a professional crew spearheaded by the St.Pete local and accomplished Director of Photography Devin Rice alongside his counterpart Victoria Jorgensen!

Hope to work with the entire crew again soon :)

Diving into acting a year ago I learned that one thing is for sure with this craft…Doing the little things well is what it’s about! A year later here are my first acting headshots where I learned that this is the epitome of doing the small things well! I want to thank my photographer Michele Yeager with for helping to prompt me into the emotional looks I was working at portraying.

“Perfect is the enemy of good enough…”

The fun part of this was learning to accept any self conscious tendencies and realizing that putting the best version of ourselves out there in the moment vulnerably and willfully is all we can do!

The point of it after all is to be seen and not pretend to be something else living truthfully in imaginary circumstances!

Which is your fav shot?

Why so serious guy?

Nice guy nextdoor?

Big open smile I gonna sell you something guy 🤣?

Next on the reading list! Grateful for this gift from a patient who I recently discussed the importance of communication with in all areas of our lives…As I dive into acting I realize more and more how important specifically the non verbal communication part is. What communication style do you have?

Watch me play the following roles along with many other great performances over at see below for details on the roles

🎯 Michael Corleone in the Godfather Part One: Originally played by Al Pacino who wrote a recent autobiography “Sonny Boy” that I’ve been reading. The scene is when Michael enters the hospital seeing his father the Don played by after he has been shot. The scene sets the stage for Michael’s arc turning point and self realization that he might have what it takes to “save” his “family”. I chose this because it allows me to artistically express what I experienced when I lost my father in 2006 seeing him at his most vulnerable in Columbia Presbyterian hospital. Although totally different external circumstances the family dynamic is something I related to deeply…This is why I chose the scene as my personal scene for this masterclass.

🎯 Dan in Closer: Originally played by Jude Law in the movie based on a play by Patrick Marber about a quartet of strangers that brings up the question of truth and connection in relationships. Themes of jealousy, power, and love come to light and this is by FAR the most out of my comfort zone I’ve felt doing a scene yet! It’s a dark one not for the kids but I’m very grateful to be directed by my much more experienced scene partner Courtney Elvira. I actually was asked to take over the part from a classmate that had a scheduling conflict on the event day but I wanted a challenge so stepped up to the plate. An overwhelming scene from a practice, consumption, and delivery standpoint but I know it will lead to a lot of growth as I’ll be working on staying very present and in the moment with my scene partner.

🎯 Ziggy in Young Frankenstein: A Mel Brooks classic that I remember watching with my father! I have a small role in this as a villager looking for the monster. It’s fun where I get to play with an accent and simply that, FUN!

Hope to see plenty of you there! Perhaps you’ll be a student next at 👀

As Spring training games heat up in baseball I reminisce to the fortunate times I’ve had in professional baseball. Most importantly, grateful for the deep connections I’ve made with people like my man and so many others that I sat in the trenches with during my time as medical and rehab coordinator for St.Louis.

Building grit (last slide in carousel) is a skill and opportunity that is afforded to us when physically injured. I broke down Injured to Elite into 3 parts that cover the mind, body, and then using the experience for the greater good in our lives. For example, I became a physical therapist much because of having to rehab my own ankle injuries which eventually took me to working in pro baseball.

Whether injured, trying to overcome Goliath, or just going through life’s struggles, “I am” is one of the strongest affirmations we can use in life. Don’t wait to have the courage (I will) or think about what you aren’t anymore (I was), remember “I am” what you need and want in life.

My mentor and more recent surrogate Dad John Denney taught me this over the years and I know he will love seeing this.
