5 ⭐️ for My Husband’s Wife by Alice Feeney and I’m still mentally rearranging my brain chemistry 😌🔪

Tell me why I went into this thinking “okay cute little domestic thriller moment” and came out questioning EVERYONE, EVERYTHING, and possibly my own identity??? One house. One husband. Two women. And absolutely zero chill.

The twists?? Unhinged. The vibes?? Suspicious. The romance?? Oh it’s there… just a little morally gray, slightly murderous, and exactly how I like it 😏

I said it on Goodreads and I’ll say it again here — this is one of those books that has you flying through pages because you need answers, only to realize the answers just create MORE questions. And honestly?? That’s my toxic trait as a reader because I eat it up every single time.

Domestic thrillers will forever have my heart — give me messy marriages, unreliable narrators, secrets in pretty houses, and a little “would you kill for love?” energy and I’m SAT. Romance girlies who like a little chaos??? This one is for you.

Because when readers say they’re “busy,” what we really mean is we’ve got our favorite comfort movie playing in the background while we sneak im another 359 pages (…and then five more). Cozy vibes, familiar scenes, and a book we can’t put down? That’s the perfect night.

POV: you’re 5 chapters in and already mentally stamping ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because the characters feel like people you know and the chaos is giving “Amelia Bedelia but make it grown and slightly unhinged” 😂
Who told this book it could have this much personality?? It’s giving Kevin Hart-level commentary in my head, too, because I forgot what the book was actually about before picking it up!! 💀

The Best Little Motel in Texas is SO cute, so easy to fly through, and honestly… as a sleep-deprived, “I have 20 minutes max” kind of reader right now.... this is EXACTLY the energy I need.

How was your first quarter of 2026? Crazy to think were almost there right?! Q1 reading wrap-up and honestly… the romance girlies did NOT come to play this year 💅📚

I’ve been over here falling in love, kicking my feet, and occasionally side-eyeing fictional men like it’s my full-time job. Between swoony moments, chaotic chemistry, and a few “I should’ve been asleep 3 hours ago” nights… these books absolutely delivered.

Currently trying to wrap up Ship Wrecked and A Fate Inked in Stone (both SO good btw 👀) but life has been… loud. Busy season has me reading in crumbs instead of full meals, but we persevere because priorities ✨

ALSO... a major plot twist: I’ve entered my ✨Kindle era✨ and I get it now. I get it. The Kindle Signature Paperwhite?? Life-changing. No glare, beach-ready, fits in every bag, and suddenly I’m acting like I don’t own 500 physical books. Traveling this summer = Kindle supremacy.

Anyway, if Q2 romances don’t keep up this energy, I will be filing a complaint 💁‍♀️

Do you give automatic stars if a book makes you laugh? I do!!

Hot mess rom-com girlies rise UP 😂 because nothing hits quite like chaotic main characters making questionable decisions, stumbling into love, and somehow also getting tangled in murder mysteries, family drama, or the occasional full-blown hoodwinked werewolf?

Like yes, give me the romance… but also give me plot. Give me emotional growth, unhinged side characters, awkward tension, and at least one moment where I have to put the book down to laugh. (And maybe snort or wheeze 😂🙈) They’ve got something to work toward, a little swoon, and just enough chaos to keep me fully invested from page one.

I tried to read during the day while baby girl is doing independent play - and then we both nap as needed!

Being a mom means your “reading time” often looks like 3 pages during nap time… 5 pages while waiting on grocery pick up… and maybe a chapter before you fall asleep with the lights on. 💖✨☠️

If you’ve been wanting to read more but feel like you don’t have the time, this carousel is for you. These are low-commitment, easy-to-pick-up reads that fit into the tiny pockets of time most of us actually have.
