Next week, we’re honored to welcome Mal Roe, founder and original elopement photographer of Vows with Views. Growing up in rural Ohio, Mal’s early fascination with adventure and the outdoors eventually evolved into a calling—to help couples celebrate their love in the wildest, most breathtaking places imaginable.

Mal takes us on a journey through her transformation from a small-town dreamer to a passionate creator of “Honey Lo” adventures—immersive, adventure-based elopement and honeymoon experiences. She describes that pivotal moment stepping into the Grand Canyon for the first time, feeling her world expand, and realizing she didn’t have to live a conventional life. That spark led to a life of saying “yes” to adventure, from hiking the John Muir Trail for 40 days and nights, to traveling the world, and ultimately building a business that blends her love for photography, the outdoors, and helping couples forge unbreakable bonds.

In this episode, we explore the deeper meaning of shared adventure, the transformative power of stepping outside your comfort zone, and how Mal’s unique approach to elopements creates lasting memories and connections. Join us for an inspiring conversation about finding purpose through passion, embracing risk, and what it truly means to start a marriage with an epic adventure.

“What if we didn’t have to wait to be the people we ultimately wanna be to do the things we wanna do in life? What if we could just show up as if we already are those people.” - Jessica DeAngelo

This powerful question from Jessica DeAngelo captures her transformative “Hike to Become” philosophy. When Jessica found herself doubting her ability to commit to 31 days of hiking, she flipped the script: instead of focusing on limitations, she asked herself what if she just showed up as if she already was the person she wanted to become.

The magic happens when we stop waiting for permission from our circumstances and start giving ourselves permission to step into that identity today. It’s about seeing possibilities instead of limitations.
Ready to discover what happens when you stop waiting and start becoming? Listen to Jessica’s full story on this episode of Inspire Campfire, where she shares how this simple mindset shift led to her revolutionary “HIKE” methodology that’s helping executives unlock their boldest ideas on the trail.

Huge shoutout to these two incredible humans for helping bring Campfire Within to life!

Writing a book is no small feat—but with the right system, encouragement, and accountability, it’s absolutely doable. I had all of that thanks to Michael Lennington and Trevor Thrall. I’m forever grateful for their guidance, support, and belief in the process.

They recently co-authored The Lightning Draft with Miguel Rivera, a book that lays out the exact system they use to help aspiring authors get their books written—and they actively lead groups through it.

I’m thrilled with how my book turned out, and I can honestly say it never would have happened without these guys.

If you’ve ever dreamed of writing a book but felt overwhelmed by the idea, check out The Lightning Draft—it might just be the adventure you’ve been waiting for.

Feel free to DM me if you want to hear more about my experience!

When we shift from defaulting to “no” to actively seeking reasons to say “yes,” we open ourselves to experiences that stretch our boundaries and shape who we’re meant to become. This mindset means approaching opportunities with curiosity instead of fear, recognizing that the discomfort of saying yes often leads to the most profound growth and meaningful memories.

Welcome to part two of our compelling Everest Base Camp series, where we sit down with three remarkable adventurers: Keith Davis, a Eugene, Oregon-based real estate investor; Clare Brown, Scotland’s passionate upland ecologist; and Sam Van Keulen, a real estate investor from Burgundy, France.

What began as a physical challenge transformed into something far more profound—a journey of human solidarity, mindful presence, and spiritual awakening. Listen as Keith shares his deeply personal tribute to his sister’s legacy, Clare reveals her newfound capacity for presence, and Sam reflects on discovering authentic value beyond material wealth.
