https://facebook.com/events/s/soria-a-la-place-des-arts/1480960563285561/

Presented by Festival Champa

Echoes Remain is not just a project—it’s a memory in motion. For this 3-hour performance, Soria (.wav) presents unreleased works-in-progress and sonic fragments drawn from her Khmer heritage, shaped into an immersive DJ set.

You may have caught her bringing her contemplative, hypnotic energy onto the dancefloor at venues like Salon Daomé. As a Montreal-based DJ, producer, and co-founder of the community-driven platform .movement, Soria translates memory into minimalism. She has opened for artists like Direkt and Lizz (RO), and now closes the first edition of Festival Champa with a performance that blends ritual, rhythm, and spiritual residue.

Date: May 25, 2025
Venue: Place des Arts, Montréal – Salon Urbain
Time: 7:30PM to 10:30PM
Admission: Free and open to the public

Special mentions: , .author

Festival Champa takes place at the Place des Arts, May 23-25. The festival commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Cambodian genocide and honors the rich cultural heritage of the local Cambodian diaspora.

It is marked by contradictions and uncertainties but also by moments of celebration of our roots and our unique journeys. The author highlights our belonging to a great lineage of Asian artists and our contributions to Quebec culture.
