In line with the continuing commitment to promote equality, inclusivity, and respect in the hospitality industry, the Gender and Development (GAD) Training and Workshop was organized on June 19, 2026 at Venus Parkview Hotel, Kisad Road, Baguio City. The activity was conducted in partnership with the Cordillera Pride Community Leaders and was opened to members of the wider Baguio hospitality community, particularly hotel and hospitality professionals who play a vital role in creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces for both employees and guests.
As a participant, I appreciated how the training highlighted the value of diversity, equality, and respect in the workplace. It reminded me that hospitality is not only about delivering quality service, but also about making every guest and every employee feel welcomed, accepted, and valued regardless of gender identity or background. The discussions and sharing of insights helped me reflect on my own role in promoting a more inclusive and compassionate environment.
This seminar also served as a great opportunity to learn from experts and fellow participants who share the same goal of building workplaces and communities grounded in understanding, fairness, and mutual respect. I am thankful for the knowledge gained and inspired to apply these learnings in my personal and professional journey. Indeed, this experience strengthened my commitment to becoming an advocate of inclusivity, respect, and equal opportunity for all. ๐โจ
