MDPI (Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute) is an academic open access publisher based in Basel, Switzerland, founded initially to collect and preserve rare chemical research samples in 1996. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we kindly ask you to follow these rules while interacting on our social media platforms:

1. Be Respectful
We encourage open discussions, but please mai

ntain a respectful tone. Offensive, abusive language, personal attacks, and disrespectful comments are not allowed and will not be tolerated.

2. No Hate Speech or Discrimination
Content promoting hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability is strictly prohibited 🚫 and will result in immediate removal of the comment.

3. Do not share personal information, such as addresses, phone numbers, private messages, or other confidential details.

4. No Spam or Self-Promotion:
Avoid excessive self-promotion, advertising, or irrelevant content. Posts that include unsolicited advertisements, repetitive messages, or spam will be removed.

5. No Harassment or Threats
We have zero tolerance for harassment, intimidation, or threats toward any individual or group. Such actions will result in immediate removal and further disciplinary action.

6. Share Thoughtful and Constructive Feedback
We welcome constructive feedback and academic discussions. Please ensure your comments are thoughtful and contribute positively to the conversation.

7. Moderation Rights
We reserve the right to delete inappropriate comments at our discretion and block any repeat offenders to maintain community standards. If the above-mentioned rules are not respected, the comments will be removed.

8. Avoid Sharing Inappropriate Content
Do not share or post images, videos, or other media that include offensive, vulgar, or copyright-infringing content.

Since 1996, MDPI has grown into a publishing house with more than 200 diverse, peer-reviewed, open access journals supported by over 35,000 academic editors, and editorial offices in Beijing and Wuhan (China), Barcelona (Spain), Belgrade (Serbia), Manchester (UK), and newly established offices in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Bangkok (Thailand) and Tokyo (Japan). We serve scholars from around the world to ensure the latest research is openly and broadly available. Our mission is to foster open scientific exchange in all forms across all disciplines.

We are committed to ensuring that high quality research is made available as quickly as possible. We also support sustainability projects, with sustainability as a key theme in many journals and through the MDPI Sustainability Foundation.

In 2019 we opened an office in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, for which we are looking for young graduates willing to stay connected to scientific research by helping researchers worldwide publish their latest results.
